Experience

Seb practises in commercial litigation, with particular experience in contractual disputes, corporations law, class actions, insurance, insolvency, and equitable claims. He has experience appearing in trials, appeals and interlocutory applications before the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Victoria, and other courts and tribunals, both led and unled.

In addition to his commercial practice, Seb also practises in sports law. He is a Tribunal Member for Football Victoria and Treasurer of the Sports Law Section of the Commercial Bar Association.

Prior to coming to the Bar, his experience included:

  • Associate at Allens in the commercial litigation and banking & finance groups;
  • Federal Prosecutor with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions; and
  • Integrity Partner at Cricket Australia, working in the Cricket Australia Integrity Unit.

Seb commenced his legal career as Associate to his Honour Judge William Everson of the District Court of Queensland. He graduated from the University of Queensland with degrees in Law (Honours) and Science.

He read with Banjo McLachlan. Philip Crutchfield KC is his senior mentor.
