Experience

Rachel has a diverse litigation practice in common law and family law.

Rachel regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Divisions 1 and 2) in all aspects of family law litigation. She is regularly briefed to advise and appear (led and unled) in complex property and parenting matters. She has particular experience advising and appearing in matters involving third-party claims and claims for equitable relief.

Rachel practices in common law with a particular focus on personal injury and professional negligence. She acts for both plaintiffs and defendants. She regularly appears in the Supreme Court and the County Court of Victoria.

Before coming to the Bar, Rachel was the Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Incerti in the Supreme Court of Victoria in the Personal Injury division.

Prior to working as an Associate, Rachel worked as a solicitor in the family law and commercial litigation and insolvency teams at a national firm.

Rachel read with Dugald McWilliams KC and her senior mentor is Ross Gillies QC.
