Experience

Matthew practises in commercial law, with a particular focus on building and construction and complex contractual disputes.

Before joining the Bar, Matthew was a Senior Associate at Allens in the construction disputes team where he acted in large-scale litigation and arbitral proceedings in the infrastructure, resources, and commercial building sectors. Matthew also has experience in domestic building and security of payment related disputes.

Matthew has also acted in a wide range of general commercial disputes concerning misleading and deceptive conduct, property and business transactions, director/shareholder/partnership disputes, retail leasing, intellectual property, Water Act claims, and bankruptcy.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.
