Experience

Ian practises in commercial law with a focus on equitable duties and remedies.

Ian worked for over six years as a solicitor in commercial litigation before becoming a barrister. He practised at KCL Law and Rigby Cooke, where his matters involved equity and trusts, contracts, property law, consumer law, and claims in restitution.

Ian has a particular interest in pleadings, civil procedure and the management of evidence. He enjoys working in teams of counsel.

Ian holds honours degrees in arts and law from Monash University.

Ian’s mentor is James McComish and his senior mentor is Premala Thiagarajan KC.
