Experience

Ben practices primarily in public and commercial law. He also accepts briefs in employment and industrial, planning and environment, and international law matters.

Before coming to the Bar, Ben was Counsel Assisting the Solicitor-General for Victoria, an associate to the Hon Chief Justice Kiefel at the High Court of Australia and an associate to the Hon Chief Justice Murrell at the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory.

Ben has also practiced as a senior solicitor at the Constitution and Advice team at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office, and a solicitor at the Dispute Resolution team at Ashurst.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics and a Juris Doctor (University Medal) from the Australian National University. He also holds a Master of Law from New York University School of Law, where he attended as a Fulbright Scholar and a Hauser Global Scholar.

Ben is reading with Sarah Zeleznikow. His senior mentor is Jonathan Kirkwood SC.
