Ben practises in common law and personal injuries matters for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Prior to coming to the bar, Ben was a Senior Associate in the Insurance and Corporate Risk team at Minter Ellison, specialising in workers' compensation litigation (including dust diseases) and medical malpractice acting on behalf of private and public hospitals and insurers. Ben also has experience in advising in relation to privacy issues, including the interpretation of the Privacy Act, Health Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act.
In addition to workers' compensation and medical malpractice, Ben accepts briefs to appear, and advise, in relation to public liability, judicial review applications, statutory benefits proceedings, coronial inquests, property damage, insurance and third-party indemnity proceedings (TAC and VWA).
