Huw accepts briefs across a range of civil and commercial matters. He accepts briefs from in-house legal teams on commercial and advisory matters.

Before coming to the Bar, Huw was a Senior Associate with Ashurst having worked in both their Tokyo office and Melbourne office. During his time at Ashurst, Huw worked on a wide array of commercial disputes, including: contractual disputes, JV and stakeholder disputes, construction disputes, competition matters and international commercial arbitrations under both the ICC and SIAC rules. Huw also has experience with regulatory matters, product recalls, international sanctions and M&A transactions.

Huw is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is listed as an arbitrator with a number of institutes across the Asia Pacific region. He teaches International Dispute Resolution subjects at Keio University in Japan.

Huw has undergraduate degrees with honours in both Arts and Law from Monash University.

Huw is reading with Richard J Harris and his senior mentor is Philip Solomon QC.
