I practise at the Victorian Bar as a commercial litigator and mediator working across a wide range of jurisdictions, including interlocutory, trial and appellate matters, demonstrating a sound knowledge of law and procedure. I am briefed by a broad range of clients including government bodies, individuals, corporations, financial institutions, company liquidators and trustees. My advocacy style is clear, effective and concise.
As a mediator I have an engaging manner and am persistent, patient and thorough, achieving high settlement rates. My broad range of professional experience enables me to identify the real issues in a case quickly, which in turn enables me to assist parties to engage in negotiations expeditiously.
At the ANZ Banking Group Limited I was a senior member of the Bank’s dispute resolution group, which had responsibility for all of the Bank’s non-lending related litigation. In this role, I also had responsibility as Special Counsel, India, for the conduct of significant off-shore litigation.
As a Federal Court registrar I acted as a decision maker exercising delegated judicial powers, and also as a mediator with responsibility for mediating cases across all areas of the Court’s jurisdiction. At the Federal Court I also held senior executive roles with responsibility for leading its team of Victorian registrars, and also had management responsibilities for the effective operation of the Court’s Registry.
