    Roxanne practises primarily in commercial litigation.She has a broad practice including commercial, regulatory and administrative law, and white collar crime.

    Before coming to the Bar, Roxanne was a Senior Associate at Holding Redlich. With more than eight years of litigation experience, her work has included: corporate disputes; equity and trusts; regulatory investigations and inquiries; and advising and acting for government bodies and departments.

    Representative matters since coming to the Bar include:

    Commercial law

    • acting for plaintiff entities in a complex property and owners corporation dispute (ongoing, led by John Karkar QC with Emma Peppler)
    • acting for the plaintiffs in a case concerning allegations of forgery, the misappropriation of funds and breach of mandate (ongoing, led by Robert Craig)
    • acting for a trustee in a claim for breach of contract and misleading or deceptive conduct (led by Jonathon Moore QC)

    Regulatory/administrative law

    • acting for the National Australia Bank in the Banking Royal Commission (on a team led by Wendy Harris QC)
    • acting for the Roads Corporation in a compensation claim under the Planning and Environment Act (ongoing, led by Sandro Goubran - see for example Plunkett v Roads Corporation [2019] VSC 39)
    • acting for the Victorian Electoral Commission in a challenge to a state election (led by Simona Gory)
    • advice concerning claims of legal professional privilege under the Major Crime (Investigative Powers) Act

    Roxanne holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with honours from the University of Melbourne where she was awarded a number of academic prizes. She has presented on topics including regulatory law and inquiries, franchising law, and legal professional privilege.
