Banjo came to the Bar from Allens Arthur Robinson, where he was a Senior Associate in the litigation and intellectual property department. Before specialising in commercial litigation, he undertook his articles year working on a range of corporate, commercial and intellectual property advisory matters. Banjo was the Associate to the Honourable Justice Middleton of the Federal Court of Australia in 2007-2008. He graduated from the University of Adelaide with degrees in law (with honours) and science, and undertook a year of his law degree in French at the Universite de Poitiers in France.
Banjo's practice at Allens ranged from large-scale tax and equity cases in the Federal and Supreme Courts, through to smaller commercial proceedings in areas including contract, trade secrets, negligence and misleading and deceptive conduct. Banjo also had the carriage of private criminal prosecutions for a corporate client.
